The chemistry between Kei and Yuri is so lived-in that every argument, recovery, and bomb detonation feels inevitable. The animation in 1985 moves like nothing else on TV that year, fluid and aggressive in ways that make you forget you're watching a comedy. They walk into a problem, everything explodes, they leave richer, the whole galaxy stays slightly worse off for it.

When people land in serious trouble, they can call the World Welfare Work Association, known as the WWWA. The agency sends out elite, well-trained agents called Trouble Consultants to sort out whatever has gone wrong. The catch comes when the team assigned is the Dirty Pair: the problem does get solved, but a great deal of collateral damage comes with it. The result is sci-fi action and adventure played for comedy, with a playful ecchi streak.
