Leona Ozaki is a rookie cop with zero chill operating a mini-tank in a city that absolutely does not deserve her energy. The comedy lands because the show never winks at the absurdity, it commits completely to a teenage girl in combat armor taking down terrorists with a sense of purpose that would be tragic if it wasn't hilarious. Animation from 1988 that moves like it cost twice the budget, character designs that stick in your brain, a premise so specific it could only exist in one franchise. The pacing drags and the story falls apart if you think about it for three seconds. None of that matters once you realize this is a show about a kid playing cop with the best toy in the world.
