SYNOPSIS
A chance rescue sets Dafeng and Li Huamei on a collision course with power, betrayal, and secrets buried deep within the palace. When Li Huamei discovers that the reigning Queen is her own senior sister, the shock gives way to something worse: repeated assassination attempts. The Queen's motivations remain murky, forcing Dafeng and Li Huamei to forge an uneasy alliance as they navigate treacherous terrain and deadlier political machinations. What begins as a simple journey to Kyoto spirals into something far more complicated. Court intrigue bleeds into underground warfare as various factions recognize what Dafeng truly represents: the missing piece to a conspiracy that threatens everyone in power. Neither hero fully understands the web they're caught in, but survival demands they trust each other completely while questioning everyone else. Loyalty clashes with ambition.
