Two identical, nameless children travel through a sea of stars in a shared vessel until it lands on a strange, in-between world. There a mischievous spirit appears and declares itself their guide for the nine-month journey that lies ahead. Led by this guide, the twins set out across the mysterious land to find the mother they have never met. Meanwhile, in our own world, a pregnant woman who has suffered a loss wrestles with grief and deep uncertainty. The twins' path, however, starts to fall apart beneath the burden of their mother's grief. This fantasy drama film sets the two stories side by side.
