A naked man with no memory and a phone that grants wishes saves you from federal agents, and from that moment forward you're chasing the answer to a question that rewrites itself every time you get close. The mystery isn't about who he is or what happened on Careless Monday, it's about whether the world needs saving or whether someone just decided it did. By the time you realize what the show is actually asking, you're already implicated in the answer.
On November 22, 2010, ten missiles hit Japan in a terrorist strike later called Careless Monday. Nobody appears to be hurt, and the country soon moves on. Three months later, Saki Morimi, a Japanese college student on her graduation trip to the United States, runs into trouble outside the White House and is rescued by a fellow countryman. He calls himself Akira Takizawa, but he has lost his memory and stands there naked, holding only a gun and a cell phone loaded with 8.2 billion yen in digital cash. Saki befriends him and sets out to uncover who he really is. Meanwhile, Takizawa clashes with others who carry similar phones, and his returning memories hint at a link to the missile attack. The result is a psychological sci-fi thriller with mystery and romance.
