You're watching a guy stumble into the worst job interview of his life and somehow end up as a grunt in a warlord's army. Every episode is Nobu trying to quit, the universe saying no, and the comedic machinery grinding forward before he can even process what happened. It's not trying to be deep or meaningful. It just wants to watch you laugh while a nobody gets chewed up by the gears of a post-apocalyptic war machine that has no idea, and no interest, in stopping for his protests.
Nobu is a young man hunting for work in a post-apocalyptic world, and his search ends badly when he is tricked into enlisting in Raoh's Army. His story plays out as a comedy in short episodes, twelve in all, following an ordinary job seeker who suddenly finds himself in the ranks of Raoh's forces, far from the kind of employment he had in mind.
