Mythological beasts reduced to broke, messy versions of themselves, stumbling through the modern world like has-beens who can't accept the demotion. The comedy lives in that specific shame: creatures of legend now dealing with rent, bad jobs, and the fact that nobody believes in them anymore. By season four, you're not watching these characters fail anymore. You're watching them accept it, then find something real in the wreckage. That's when it stops being funny and starts breaking you.

The fourth season of Fabulous Beasts is a comedic fantasy ONA running 12 episodes. The franchise centers on mythological animals whose former majesty has faded in an age of scientific progress. Sibuxiang was sent down to the mortal world to help struggling beasts, and there he crossed paths with his old colleague Pixiu, his drinking buddy Tuye, and the gold and silver Jue brothers, who had been demoted to earth. This season continues their story.
