The second series doubles down on everything that made the original brutal: Kenshiro arrives too late to save people he loves, and the show makes you feel every failure. Falco is not another strongman villain, he's a true believer in a doomed cause, which means his fights carry weight that goes beyond spectacle. The action sequences and soundtrack hit harder than the first series, but the real cost is watching Lynn's capture happen because Kenshiro chose his path over hers.

After Kenshiro's defeat of Raoh, a new rival force rises: the warriors of the Gentou Kouken school. Their successor, Falco, serves Jacko, a cruel ruler who claims the Tentei chose him and orders his men to seize every living person to build his Imperial Capital. Kenshiro steps out of the shadows once more to end Jacko's tyranny. In the chaos, Lynn is captured and carried off to the land of the Shura, home only to merciless fighters. Kenshiro chases her captor there and must defeat the land's three Rasho to escape alive and bring Lynn back, in an action drama of brutal martial arts battles.
