The pacing drags hard enough that it tests your patience with filler that feels like it's killing time between character moments that actually matter. What saves it is that those moments, Stark learning he's allowed to be afraid, Fern understanding what she's been given, hit with the kind of quiet devastation Season 1 earned. The animation stays gorgeous and the action sequences still know how to hurt, but ten episodes isn't enough runway for a season that's decided to move at half-speed, and that's the show's real problem.
