Fuichin is a young tomboy growing up in Manchuria, and this 2004 film follows her everyday life there with a light comic touch. The story draws on the real experiences of Toshiko Ueda, the shoujo manga artist whose work it adapts. Expect a gentle blend of comedy and slice of life centered on one lively girl.
