Mo Fan wakes to find a familiar world transformed. Magic has taken the place of science, and his school now trains students to become powerful mages. Outside the city, magical beasts roam and hunt people. His own situation has not changed with the shift. He is still the son of a poor laborer and older step-brother to a sister who cannot walk, and he dreams of becoming a magician so he can pay back his father. After he enters a renowned magic school, rumors about his poverty and supposed lack of talent make him a figure of ridicule. Yet while everyone else is limited to one major element, Mo Fan can command both fire and the uncommon power of lightning. The twelve-episode action fantasy ONA sends this dual-element mage toward dangerous encounters.
