Makoto gets rejected by the goddess herself, left for dead in a wasteland, and decides that's actually fine, he'll just become overpowered on his own terms. The show burns through plot like it's running out of time, throwing you into a world where the "worthless" hero collects a party of genuinely weird misfits who actually matter to him. It's isekai comedy that doesn't need the hero to be chosen or special; it needs him to be stubbornly, quietly competent while everyone around him is a disaster.

Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school student, is summoned to another world to become its hero because of an old contract his parents made with a goddess. The goddess calls him ugly, strips away his hero title, and banishes him to a wasteland at the edge of the world, far from any human settlement. As meager compensation, she grants him the ability to understand every language except the human one. In this new world his physical and magical abilities awaken, making him enormously powerful. Out in the wilderness he meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves and many other non-human peoples. Many of them are drawn to him and join him in building a community where different races can live together in peace. Makoto still longs to meet other humans, even though the goddess has cut him off from his own kind. The series is an action comedy fantasy adventure about an outcast starting his life over.
