Cid gets transported to a fantasy world and immediately starts lying his way into power, accidentally building a real shadow organization to fight a cult he invented on the spot. The show commits completely to the bit: every ridiculous plan works because he's too competent to fail, even when he has no idea what's actually happening. It's a parody that knows isekai fans will recognize every trope it's deconstructing, which means the comedy lands twice as hard if you've watched anything remotely like this before. The animation quality craters after episode 18, which stings because the fight choreography up to that point is genuinely sharp. Watch this if you're tired of heroes who stumble into destiny and want to watch someone stumble into a criminal empire on pure bullshit confidence.

Cid is reborn as the second child of a noble family in a world where magic is ordinary, and he has no interest in being the hero or the final boss. What he wants instead is to operate as a shadow broker, the type of mastermind who controls events from behind the scenes through cunning and manipulation. Calling himself Shadow, he founds a group called Shadow Garden and half-jokingly recruits members, giving them a whole backstory about an evil cult they must bring down. The problem arrives when his fictional enemy turns out to be real. The Cult of Diablos actually exists, and it is far from pleased that his power fantasy keeps getting in the way of its plans. As Shadow Garden grows in members and influence, everyone around Cid understands the danger is genuine, while he alone still thinks it is all make-believe. The result is a comedy about delusion colliding with reality, mixing fantasy action with plenty of humor.
