A cat alien who literally locks your emotions as a problem-solving strategy paired with a partner who somehow makes destruction look like competence. The comedy comes from watching two fundamentally broken investigators accidentally solve cases while leaving wreckage that probably costs more than the crime. Apulo and Latell are agents for the Division of Space Piracy, a force that hunts space pirates. Apulo is a catlike alien who talks, eats too much and can lock a person's emotions in place, while Latell is quick to reach for his gun. Together they wreck so much property chasing criminals that their chief, tired of the bills, grounds their ship Lagendra and sends them off. Out of work, Apulo starts thinking about becoming a pirate himself and tricks the ship's AI into still following his orders, with Latell trailing him to keep watch. Meanwhile the pirate Youmei is scheming to misuse Computer Aided Thinking, and the whole universe risks being turned into cats. The result is a six-episode sci-fi comedy OVA.
