Genesis of Aquarion Special is a single-episode comedy and mecha special from 2008, released alongside the Blu-ray edition of the Aquarion movie. Rather than continuing the story as told, it presents an alternate take on what happens once the TV series has ended, a parallel version of events set after its conclusion. Viewers who already know the main series are its natural audience.
