Made as a graduation film with the precision of something that had to say everything it needed to say in twenty minutes, it doesn't waste a single frame on sentiment. What hits is the quiet certainty that separation isn't a failure of love, it's love's honest ending, and there are more endings coming. This is animation school work that proves some artists graduate having already understood something most never do.
Glass and Kumo once shared a deep love, but it did not endure. After they part, a whole lifetime unfolds for Glass, who slowly comes to grasp the recurring pattern of meeting and parting that runs through every life. The film traces how that separation turns into understanding over the years. Made as a 2025 graduate project, the animated film comes from the animation department of the Graduate School of Film and New Media at Tokyo University of the Arts.
