A desert planet that used to be Earth, massive ships harvesting what's left, two kids trying to find water that might not exist anymore. The world swallows you whole in three episodes because it commits completely to its own logic instead of explaining itself to death. This OVA builds something genuinely alien out of a familiar apocalypse, then ends before it can overstay its welcome, leaving you wondering what happens next.

Humanity has fouled the land, sea and sky of a future Earth. Then enormous objects plunge from the heavens, crash into the planet and swallow its air, its water and most of its living things. What remains is a vast desert where rain survives only as a legend. The few people left endure a harsh environment under the Rodo, a domineering ruling race. Ran is young, hot-blooded and determined to resist them. He wants to join the Hazzard, a group set against the Rodo, both to bring the rulers down and to track down the man who killed his mother. The three-episode OVA is a science-fiction adventure drama about two youths struggling to survive on a hostile world and finding hope there.
