Tohka carries this movie on the weight of what she couldn't save, and watching her move through a manhunt while processing a broken promise feels earned in a way most action films don't bother with. The sniper sequences have actual stakes because you understand what missing costs her personally. This is a film that trusts you to care about one character's failure more than any explosion.

While Rena and Maki heal from their injuries, the rest of SORD heads abroad on a school trip. Almost as soon as they land, the Mihama gang is drawn into the hunt for a SORD deserter, with help from Sylvia and Velvet of St. Aile's International School. Tohka takes center stage this time. She is struggling with memories of her parents and with a promise to a friend that she failed to keep, all while the action-driven manhunt unfolds around her.
