A teenager wakes up bonded to an alien weapon he can't remove, and the OVA doesn't waste time pretending this is cool. A high school student's life shatters when he comes across a strange metal object one night. In a blinding burst of light, Sho Fukamachi accidentally fuses with the Guyver, an alien mecha of unknown design. The Chronos Corporation and its biocreatures, the Zoanoids, are bent on conquering the world, and Sho must become the Guyver to fight them and save both his girlfriend, Mizuki Segawa, and everyone else. The story looks closely at how Sho copes with his situation, including a harsh moment when his friends are coldly assassinated. Along the way he faces a second Guyver, and a third one appears. This single OVA loosely adapts the opening chapters of the Guyver manga, mixing action, science fiction and horror.
