Five minutes per episode means every joke lands before the setup can get stale. The three Hacka Dolls exist only to deliver rapid-fire anime references and parodies, which works because the show doesn't pretend they're characters, they're a delivery system for gags that only land if you've watched enough anime to catch them. Animation shifts styles constantly, treating each episode like a different animator's love letter to whatever they felt like parodying that week.

Hacka Dolls are navigator AIs that scan their users and tailor news and information to them, built for a future society drowning in data. Their earlier sisters have served their masters well, but a dip in quality produces three flawed units: Hacka Doll 1, the main navigator, anime expert Hacka Doll 2, and otaku Hacka Doll 3. Displeased, Hacka Doll 0 sends them to Earth to earn their keep by helping humanity advance. Their jobs range from urging a fujoshi to sell her doujinshi at Comiket to performing in an idol group, and they throw themselves into every task with eager effort despite their shortcomings. The short episodes play out as comedy with ecchi touches.
