The second season doubles down on what made the first so strange: four men bound by marks they don't understand yet, moving through a world that feels painted rather than drawn, where every conversation carries weight it hasn't explained. The Imperial Church's hunt for the gems becomes the skeleton, but what matters is watching Shino and Sosuke realize they're not alone in this curse, and that Genpachi and Kobungo were changed by something older than they know. Studio Deen's deliberate, dreamlike framing turns a supernatural mystery into something that feels like remembering a life you never lived.

The search for all eight sacred gems goes on as Shino and Sosuke set out to track down the gem holders still missing. The Imperial Church keeps plotting in secret, while a mysterious woman works toward a sinister scheme that centers on the gem holders. As the origin of the gems is uncovered, so is the truth about Ao, Sosuke's doppelganger, who reappears with an aim of his own that involves Sosuke and his gem. This second season of the action fantasy continues a story of supernatural destiny tied to the gems and the people who carry them.
