Ayayam is a gifted hamster who shone at everything, from school and sports to drawing and writing. When she overhears her friends mocking a picture book she adored and had given to one of them, she is crushed, decides she is done with friends, and shuts herself inside the library for good. Taking pity on her, the God of Books gives her a Magic Quill that lets her draw any picture and write any story with ease. Meanwhile, Hamtaro hears that Laura and her classmates plan to perform "Sunflower Taro" as their next school play, and the Ham-Hams decide to put on their own take on it. While they prepare, they are suddenly pulled into a strange Picture Book Tower. There Ayayam announces that they will become characters in her new book, a fresh version of the familiar fairy tale. The movie is a comedic fantasy adventure starring the hamster gang.
