Anime Like Hatena Illusion
SYNOPSIS
Makoto arrives in Tokyo with one dream: to study magic under Mamoru Hoshisato, the legendary illusionist who inspired him as a kid. He's moving into the Hoshisato mansion, a genuinely creepy place staffed by quirky servants, expecting a fresh start in the big city. There's just one problem. Hatena, Mamoru's daughter and Makoto's childhood friend, has zero interest in rekindling their connection. Their reunion is awkward, tense, and definitely not the heartwarming reunion he imagined. Between Makoto's clumsy attempts to impress his new mentor, Hatena's cold shoulder, and the mansion's supernatural weirdness, daily life becomes chaos. A series of high-profile heists by a mysterious beautiful thief adds another layer of danger to the neighborhood. As Makoto settles into his apprenticeship and tries to figure out magic tricks both on stage and in real life, he has to navigate why Hatena pushed him away and whether they can find common ground again. It's comedy wrapped in magic, romance tangled with mystery, and the supernatural lurking in every corner of that haunted house.
