This is pure character comedy with zero agenda. The show treats personified nations like roommates trapped in a house together, and the humor lives entirely in how their actual historical rivalries and cultural quirks collide in stupid domestic situations. If you've watched Hetalia before, these OVAs are just more of what works: countries being petty, misunderstanding each other, and somehow making it funny without needing plot or stakes to lean on.

Three extra episodes, numbered 13 through 15 of Hetalia World★Stars, came bundled with the series' Blu-ray box set. They return to the comedy's cast of strange people who can disappear for a few days or for hundreds of years, then show up again with a new name and personality because of someone's unexpected idea. However odd they are, a boss loosely accepts them and puts them to use.
