Akko-chan discovers magic through loss, not luck. A broken mirror becomes a doorway because she refuses to throw it away, and suddenly an elementary schooler has the power to transform into anyone, anything, anywhere. The show is pure wish fulfillment built on the most honest foundation: a kid solving real problems with impossible tools, one transformation at a time.

Akko is an energetic elementary school girl with a special fondness for mirrors. She lives with her mother, since her father serves as captain of a luxury cruise ship. When her favorite mirror breaks, she can't bear to toss it in the trash, so she gives it a grave in her yard instead. That night, a mirror spirit reaches out to her, touched by the respect she showed. As a reward for her kindness, the spirit gives her a magical compact mirror and teaches her a spell that lets her turn into anything she wishes. A lighthearted magical girl comedy with a kind-hearted heroine at its center.
