In a world where Japanese characters have disappeared, the Hiragana Danshi set out on a mission to find their comrades. The 2018 film brings the Hiragana Danshi multimedia project to the big screen, mixing adventure, comedy and fantasy. The project is one of several born from Ichara, a monthly Nihon TV variety program that builds 2D characters from ideas sent in by its audience. Before its wider release, audiences got an early look at the film on March 16 at the Toho Cinemas location in Shinjuku.
