Two episodes. That is the whole deal, and it burns through them like it knows the plug is coming. Holy Knight drops Lilith, a half-human Romanian transfer student, into a Tokyo missionary school and tells timid orphan Shinta Mizumura that he is the heir to the Romuald vampire hunter line, then hits the gas so hard the romance and the bloodline reveal are fighting for the same minute of screen time. What people actually stay for is the art: the character illustrations are genuinely lovely, easily the most cared-for thing here, and the forbidden hunter and vampire angle has real teeth as a premise. What people rage about is that it stops instead of ending, mid-story, no resolution, an adaptation waving at a manga you now have to go read. Go in knowing that and it is a gorgeous fragment. Go in expecting closure and you will throw something.

Shinta Mizumura is a timid orphan attending a missionary school in Tokyo, and his ordinary life turns upside down when Lilith Kishimoto, a beautiful half-Romanian girl, transfers into his school. Orphaned years earlier when villagers killed her parents, Lilith has inherited the Great Sword Calbrinus along with a mission: to have a child with the heir of the Romuald line so the Strigoi, Romanian vampires, can one day return. That heir turns out to be Shinta, who has no idea he is a vampire hunter carrying this legacy. As Shinta wrestles with his feelings, Lilith is determined to reach her goal whatever it takes. The two-episode OVA mixes supernatural elements with ecchi content.
