Issei's perversion isn't a joke the show is laughing at you for watching, it's the actual engine of his character development, which means every harem moment doubles as genuine growth. The fanservice never apologizes because the show doesn't need to: it commits fully to what it is, and that confidence makes the comedy land harder than any ecchi that winks at the camera. You're here for the girls and the laughs, and it delivers both without pretending to be something else.

Issei Hyodo, a lecherous second-year high school student who dreams of having a harem, thinks his luck is changing when a beautiful girl asks him on a date. That optimism dies the moment she reveals herself as a fallen angel and kills him. His salvation comes from Rias Gremory, a gorgeous upperclassman who leads the Occult Research Club and is secretly a high-ranking devil. She revives him as a devil and makes him her servant, her Pawn. Now Issei must train and fight to survive in a violent world of angels and devils while hiding his new life from friends and family. His inexperience and perverted nature clash constantly with genuine danger, and his time with his new comrades brings plenty of risqué comedy, romance and fantasy action.
