A sheltered valley lives apart from the world, protected by the Flower God Tree while a deadly orchid poison spreads through the lands where humans live. When a phoenix brings a poisoned infant into the valley, the king and queen break the ancestral law against outsiders and raise the girl as Princess Peony. Years later the tree suddenly withers and Peony falls gravely ill. Suspicion spreads, and many of the valley's people urge the king to send her away. Unwilling to give up her daughter, the queen offers herself to the Flower God Tree and enters a dark barrier to recover the Flower Soul, but the orchid's power traps her there. Ten years on, the poison returns and the valley faces its worst crisis yet. Remembering her mother's lessons, Peony sets out with the Flower Soul Seed to save her home in a fantasy adventure film.
