Luck spends ten years alone in a hell pit holding back the tide so his friends can live, then wins anyway, and now everyone treats him like a god while he's just trying to figure out who he is. That gap between legend and person is the whole story. A soldier comes home to a world that stopped needing him the moment it started worshipping him.

Luck, an S-rank mage in the hero's party, stays behind to hold off a relentless wave of demons so his friends can escape. He fights without rest, defeats the enemy commander and walks away victorious, only to learn that ten years have gone by. His body now looks like a teenager's, and the world honors him as a hero who fell in battle. He reunites with the hero Eric and the warrior Goran, but he cannot get his former life back and simply wants a relaxed one. He hides who he is, registers as a novice F-rank adventurer called Lock, and sets off with new companions. The result is a fantasy action adventure.
