Lloyd gets kicked out for being "useless," then walks into an S-rank party that immediately recognizes what he actually is. The real hit is watching him stop apologizing for his existence the moment someone needs him for real. By the time the hero's party collapses, you're not rooting for Lloyd to prove them wrong, you're rooting for him because he stopped caring what they think.

Lloyd gets kicked out of the hero's party without warning. The party's arrogant leader, Allen, has long looked down on him as a white mage, and he expels Lloyd on a whim. Although Lloyd once studied under a legendary mage, he wanders the city for days, unable to find a new group that needs a support member. Then Yui, leader of an S-rank adventurer party, begs him to join them on a mission close to her heart. Lloyd keeps playing down his abilities, but he finally accepts her pushy offer and receives a warm welcome from his new companions. Lloyd believes he is ordinary, yet his support magic is anything but. As the hero's party collapses, he rises to fame and grows into an unmatched adventurer. The result is an action fantasy adventure about a talented mage finding people who value him.
