Alec doesn't suddenly become a god once he leaves the court, he stays exactly what he always was, a support mage who actually understands his role and doesn't waste time rage-grinding to prove everyone wrong. The show knows the "banished party member" premise is a skeleton, so it fills the space with people you actually want to watch interact, trading insults and trust in equal measure across dungeon runs that feel like they have weight. Alec Ygret is a court magician assigned to the Crown Prince's dungeon-conquering party, where he handles only support magic. The prince dismisses him as useless and fires him, and the prince's harassment gets him expelled from the royal palace as well. At his lowest point, Alec is approached by Yoruha, an old friend from the magic academy and a fellow member of Lasting Period, a legendary four-person party that split up four years ago. She invites him to explore dungeons with them again. Alec accepts, the party is revived, and its name soon starts spreading across the world once more. The result is a fantasy action adventure about a banished magician beginning a second chapter of his life.
