The premise is pure fantasy wish-fulfillment dressed as underdog rebellion: a kid everyone wrote off discovers he's not broken, he's just operating on a completely different level than everyone else. He doesn't fight the system that rejected him, he just builds something better in the spaces it doesn't care about and lets the results speak louder than any authority ever could. By the time the palace notices what he's doing, he's already healed enough people that they can't touch him without looking like monsters.

Zenos grows up poor in the slums of the Kingdom of Herzeth, where healers normally need an official license earned through years of study. After meeting a healer, he teaches himself the craft and becomes exceptionally skilled. An adventurer invites him into a party, but his teammates treat him badly and finally throw him out as useless. Left with no money and few options, and after helping an elf slave named Lily, Zenos decides to run a secret clinic in the city's shadows for people who would otherwise be ignored. With Lily at his side, he is soon caught up in a feud between lizardmen, werewolves and orcs, which his healing helps settle. His unlicensed magic turns him into a quiet legend, and rumors reach the royal palace. When the royal knights take a dim view of his work, Zenos has to find a way to keep his practice going without giving up his principles. The show mixes action, comedy and fantasy.
