Kaoru walks into every problem holding a potion that shouldn't exist, and the show knows exactly how funny that is. She's not pretending to struggle, not performing modesty, not earning her power through tears and training montages, she has cheat codes and uses them. The real trick is that watching an overpowered woman solve problems with unhinged alchemy and casual competence never gets boring, because the show cares more about her comfort and happiness than it does about manufacturing stakes.

Kaoru Nagase, a 22-year-old office worker, dies suddenly because of a mistake made by the god responsible for Earth. To make amends, she is reborn in Verny, a medieval world less advanced than her own. There she receives a body matching her fifteen-year-old self, fluency in every language, a limitless item box, and the power to create any potion she can imagine. Her abilities are far beyond what Verny is used to, so she journeys from nation to nation, trying to enjoy her second life while staying out of reach of those who want her powers for themselves.
