You expect a pretty-boy idol show and get a story about seven completely different people learning they can't survive on charm alone. On her first day at her father's small agency, Takanashi Productions, Tsumugi Takanashi is unexpectedly named manager of its new seven-member male idol group. The men have only just met and have wildly different personalities, but each has his own charm and untapped potential. When her father tells her to cut the group down to three, Tsumugi holds an impromptu audition and then refuses to drop anyone, convinced that each member's appeal strengthens the whole. Together they debut as IDOLiSH7 and set out into the glamorous, sometimes harsh idol industry with the aim of reaching the top. Based on a rhythm game, the series blends music, comedy, drama and slice-of-life moments.
