The animation budget finally shows up. Two episodes is all it took to remind you why you started watching this franchise, before the seasonal grind turned it into background noise. Every fight sequence moves like Ufotable decided to spend money on something that mattered.

Fighters from Kansai are pushing into the Kanto region to seize sacred beads, and students from all three major schools are being attacked. Hakufu, Koumei, Ekitoku and Ryuubi look into a week of Magatama-related incidents, finding that every defeated fighter carries a sword brim mark. Word comes that the A-rank Kan'u went after the western warriors and apparently lost, which leads Ekitoku to suspect Kansai has S-rank fighters. Seeking a way to keep casualties low, the group plans to gather at a nearby temple as the outlook darkens. The two-episode OVA mixes action with ecchi content.
