The first three episodes hit harder than most action anime manage in a full season: two cocky delinquents walk into a school, get absolutely demolished, and you feel it. After that, the show collapses into itself, half the runtime is backstory, the plot stops making sense, and it never recovers. Watch it for the opening violence and the character designs, accept that it falls apart, and move on before the repetition kills what made those early episodes work.

Two delinquents arrive at Toudou Academy planning to take over the school with their fists. Souchirou and Bob's first day goes badly when they run into the Jyuukenbu, a martial arts group whose members beat them with humiliating ease. Things only get worse from there: the pair are assumed to have ties to the group and are attacked by the Enforcement Group, which oversees the school's martial arts clubs. Caught up in the personal conflict between the Jyuukenbu and the Enforcers, Souchirou and Bob have little choice but to join Maya Natsume's group and train to become stronger. The academy itself was founded to revive the martial arts in Japan, so fighting is part of daily school life, and the action comes with a heavy dose of ecchi.
