The first three episodes hit harder than most action anime manage in a full season: two cocky delinquents walk into a school, get absolutely demolished, and you feel it. After that, the show collapses into itself, half the runtime is backstory, the plot stops making sense, and it never recovers. Watch it for the opening violence and the character designs, accept that it falls apart, and move on before the repetition kills what made those early episodes work.
Two street fighters roll into Toudou Academy expecting to dominate through sheer confidence and fists. Souchirou and Bob's first day crashes hard when they run straight into the Jyuukenbu, a martial arts elite who dismantle them with humiliating ease. What should have been a minor loss spirals into something worse: they get mistaken for associates of the group and become targets of the Enforcement Division, the school's iron-fisted authority on combat clubs. Suddenly outnumbered and outmatched, the two have to swallow their pride and seek protection from Maya Natsume and her Jyuukenbu crew. Trapped between rival factions battling for control of the academy's underground martial arts scene, Souchirou and Bob have only one option: get serious about training or become casualties in someone else's war. This is high school through the lens of combat sports, where every hallway could hide a challenger and alliances shift with each new fight. Raw testosterone, genuine danger, and the kind of escalating intensity that keeps pushing stronger and meaner opponents at you.
