A delinquent kid who scares other delinquents walks into a koto club room, and somehow that collision becomes the most honest thing about finding where you belong. The show doesn't care about competition or mastery, only about broken people learning to play together. By the end, you're not watching a music anime, you're watching five guys figure out who they actually are, one plucked string at a time.

Takezou Kurata is the only member left in the Tokise High School koto club after the seniors graduate, and unless he recruits new members the club will be shut down. Then Chika Kudou bursts into the club room demanding to join: a delinquent feared even by upperclassmen troublemakers at other schools. Chika wants to understand the words of his late grandfather, a koto maker who doubted him. Takezou is wary of his reputation but lets him in after seeing how serious he is. Koto prodigy Satowa Houzuki and three of Chika's lively friends join too, and the new group sets its sights on the national competition. The drama blends music, school life and romance.
