Anime Like Beelzebub
A delinquent forced to raise a demon baby in a school full of punks is the only premise that works this hard to make you laugh every single episode. The chemistry between Oga and Beelzebub is instant and effortless, the side characters actually have personalities that surprise you, and the show knows comedy is the only job it needs to do. It doesn't have a real plot to stand on, and the ending folds instead of lands, but by then you've already spent sixty hours with people you genuinely like watching their stupid problems unfold.
SYNOPSIS
Oga Tatsumi rules Ishiyama High with his fists. The school's toughest delinquent has never met anyone who could challenge him, until the day a strange man floats down a river near his home. When the figure splits in half, out tumbles a baby wrapped in demonic power. The infant's name is Beelzebub, and he's the son of the Demon King himself. Now Oga's stuck as the unlikely guardian of a supernatural child who keeps causing chaos wherever they go. Stronger delinquents want the baby for their own purposes, demons crawl out of the woodwork to reclaim their prince, and somehow Oga has to keep this destructive toddler alive while maintaining his reputation at school. The catch: Beelzebub won't listen to anyone except Oga, which means the toughest guy around suddenly has parenting duties he never signed up for. It's crude comedy mixed with genuine heart, where a hardened street fighter learns what it means to protect something more fragile than himself. Action-packed but never losing sight of the ridiculous bond forming between man and demon child.
