Kiyomaro starts broken, convinced he doesn't care about anything, and Gash breaks that lie by existing in his life. The comedy lands because the emotional stakes are real: every fight matters because these characters matter to each other, and the show remembers that when it needs to hurt you. Watch it for the jokes and the demon battles; stay for a story about how caring about one small thing can remake you into someone who fights for everything that matters.

Kiyomaro Takamine is a gloomy young man who cares little about the world around him. His life takes a sudden turn when he is handed a small demon named Gash Bell to look after. Gash is caught up in a fierce contest to decide who will rule the demon world. Every demon must choose a human master on Earth and fight the others until only one remains. Kiyomaro becomes Gash's master, and as the pair battle rival demons, he comes to value friendship and courage. The long-running series mixes comedy with supernatural adventure as the two fight side by side.
