Tokio Abiko, a tough transfer student from Yamagata prefecture, arrives at a school in Tokyo wanting to beat the strongest kid there and win respect for himself and his home region. Instead he meets Japan Hinomoto, a red-haired classmate who is obsessed with the country and will not leave him alone until Tokio says which prefecture he comes from. Japan also turns out to be a master of Todofu-ken, a martial art with 47 styles, one for each prefecture. The result is a goofy action comedy in short episodes that makes a playful tour of Japan. Adapted from a comedy shounen manga by Seiji Hayashi, it aired within the Oha-Suta variety program on TV Tokyo.
