Iria moves like no 90s anime you've seen, hand-drawn frames that feel like watching someone fight through wet concrete, every punch and dodge costing real effort. Zeiram isn't a villain to defeat, it's a force of nature that keeps coming back, and Iria's refusal to stay broken when it takes pieces of her is what the show actually cares about. The world around her, the rust and metal and practical tech, exists to make her matter more, not less.

Gren is a bounty hunter famous for his skill, and he accepts a job to learn what became of the crew and cargo of a space station. His sister Iria, a capable apprentice bounty hunter, comes along with him. The assignment turns out to be far from what it appears, and it sets off Iria's war with an alien being named Zeiram. The six-episode OVA mixes action, adventure and science fiction.
