Tylor walks into a trap with the same dumb-luck confidence that got him through the TV series, except this time his crew genuinely believes he's led them to execution. The OVA lets you feel that tension, lets you wonder if the captain's finally run out of miracles, before the cheerfulness snaps back into place. It's the franchise at its most honest about why people follow a moron: because sometimes the moron is right, and you won't know which until the last second.

Six months have gone by, and the Raalgon Empire has built a terrible new weapon. Tylor is ordered to intercept it while it is in transit. Everything that can go wrong does, and the crew of the Soyokaze ends up in enemy hands, facing execution. As the hours run down, the crew begins to question their irresponsible captain. Has he led them astray, or is this all part of a larger plan he has kept to himself? This OVA series mixes adventure, drama and comedy with military science fiction, setting real danger against absurd humor.
