Long ago in India, a princess dreams of a golden deer that sings with a lovely voice. Spurred by the king's offer of a treat, a boy heads into the mountains and lays a trap for the deer. Once it is caught, he sees what the deer has done for his friends and decides to set it free. The fantasy film won the Silver Prize at the 24th Tokyo Educational Film Contest.
