Jewelpet Happiness is a comfort watch disguised as a magical girl show. There's no world-ending threat, no tragic backstory, just a girl learning to live alongside creatures that exist to help people find happiness, one small discovery at a time. The show knows its job is to let you rest, not wreck you.
Chiari Tsukikage is a third-year middle schooler at Jewel Academy, in a world where Jewelpets and humans live alongside each other. In Jewel Land, Lady Jewelina hands Ruby the Magical Jewel Box and tasks her with making friends and gathering Magic Jewels. To do that, Ruby must enroll at the academy and run the Jewelpet Cafe, but the cafe struggles to draw customers and her plans keep going wrong. Things turn around when Ruby befriends Chiari, Nene Konoe and Ruruka Hanayama, who agree to help manage the cafe. Together they work to make it thrive, stand by one another through good times and bad, and guard the Jewel Box from thieves. The result is a fantasy magical girl series built around friendship and running a shop.
