After clearing the preliminary rounds of the Pride of the Sun Tournament, the academy splits its advancing students into four person squads for intensive training ahead of the finals. That routine gets interrupted when Cao Potian, a man who once betrayed his own master, shows up at the training grounds to mock the group and extend an invitation to a sword test meant to humiliate them. Only Lin Beichen and Bai Qianyun take him up on it, walking into a trial that turns out to be genuinely dangerous. Along the way, the training system on Lin Beichen's mobile phone receives an upgrade. Expect a mix of comedy, action and fantasy as the second season carries the story toward the tournament finals.
