Magic is fading from the seas, and the creatures that fairies once guarded with the Dance of the Wind are vanishing. The last such creature in China now depends on Lin, a young fairy who has to hide it from poachers and find a partner to share the Wind Dance with. The listings also describe a finless porpoise fairy, Jiang Ling, who meets Lin Sheng, her lover from a past life. Neither remembers the other, yet they fall in love again as new obstacles keep arriving. The film mixes action, fantasy and romance.
