A human and an elf living in an apartment together sounds like a setup for something precious, but the show earns its warmth by staying small. The real comedy lives in the friction between someone trying to navigate modern Kanagawa and a refugee who doesn't know why humans need so many appliances. It's a show about two people learning to share a space, not about saving the world, and that restraint makes the quiet moments land harder than they have any right to.

Two years ago, a forest fire destroyed the homes of the elves who lived in a hidden forest, and they have since settled in Kanagawa Prefecture. The story centers on a human who ends up as the roommate of one of these elves in an apartment. Expect a short-format comedy that mixes fantasy with everyday slice-of-life.
