One girl's face is a brick wall, the other guy's face is a billboard advertising every stupid thought in his head. He won't stop poking the wall. She won't stop being unbothered by it. That's the entire joke, and it never gets old because their chemistry is built on the most basic incompatibility possible, he's incapable of hiding anything, she's incapable of showing anything, and neither can look away.

Kashiwada-san has perfected the art of the blank stare. No matter what happens around her, her face stays perfectly neutral. Oota-kun, on the other hand, wears every emotion like a neon sign. His expressions betray him constantly, making it impossible to hide what he's thinking or feeling.
