The Metal Crab and the Spiral Conch is a single-episode ONA that served as the pilot for Kay's Daily Doodles. It premiered during a special livestream held for a Chinese third anniversary celebration, and it came out ahead of the main series. As a comedy with a slice-of-life bent, it offers an early look at the lighthearted everyday tone the full show would carry.
